Dallas: Texas’ Most Prosperous City

Dallas is the cultural hub of Texas, with much to offer in terms of cuisine, the arts, and special events. Dallas is known for its barbecue, authentic Mexican, and Tex-Mex cuisine. Looking for something to do after you dine? The Arts District, located in the northern section of Downtown, features a walkable hub of museums, bars and restaurants, and performance stages. Dallas also hosts an array of events during the year such as the annual State Fair of Texas, the Taste of Dallas, and the annual Halloween event, The Wake, which features local art and music. Other places of interest include the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, and the Dallas Museum of Art. The area is likewise home to six major league sports teams, including the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA, the Texas Rangers of the MLB, the Dallas Stars of the NHL, FC Dallas of the MLS, and the Dallas Wings of the WNBA.
